Cash's 1st Bday Celebration

Wow has it really been a year! Time flys when you're having the time of your life. Bret and I were talking the other day about how wonderful our life is with Cash in it! Kids are so amazing and such a wonderful blessing! So now on to why I will never have a birthday party again...just kidding!
There are moms out there that can handle everything perfectly, have the food out on time with everything in its place, the cake ready at the exact right moment when everyone is done eating and then have their one year olds sit down and enjoy each and every present opened all the while entertaining and talking to everyone that is at the party and even have games for the kids to play and prizes~ Well, I am not one of those moms!

The party was flawed. I forgot to have the lettuce and tomatoes ready for the hamburgers...oh yeah did I mention that this was my only job since my husband did all the grilling and cooking! Then I didn't even cut the cake my mom did it! Then half way through Cash opening his presents my amazing mom friend Amanda (whom does all the things mentioned before hand...hate her!) asked if I wanted her to take pics of Cash opening presents....DUH! Who forgets that! Well I did instruct Bret to record it so we will have some sort of record! So there you have it next year just family and no stress. My husband thinks that I will some how manage to forget the trauma and try try try again! But I guess that is what us Crazy Mom's do! So now on to the pics that Amanda took for me!

Mom opening presents because that's what you do I found out!
Cash still for a moment! Yeah! Don't worry it didn't last, you gotta loves those boys always on the go.
Cash's cute shirt my friend Katie made for me she also made the banner which is adorable. I think I will have to have a dallas cowboy room for Cash now, if they win this week!
Cash's favorite toy the lawn mower! He embraces his mexican roots well! After we opened this present there was no going back we actually stopped the presents and saved the rest for Christmas, well they were from us so it wasn't too tacky! I have to say it because it is all too perfect, the lawn mower gift was from Amanda she even buys the best gifts!!!

So here is to the best year of my life so far! I love my little guy and look forward to all the birthday parties to come! Love ya Cash Ditty!

Bottle? No Thank You, I'll have a Drumstick

So I decided to take Cash off the bottle the week of his birthday party so that hopefuly in a span of two weeks we would be good and back to normal for Christmas! I had read all these things about weening them from formula and the bottle and I thought that was way harder than I wanted to make it, so I decided people stop smoking cold turkey my baby can give up the bottle....he's a trooper! The first day went surprisingly well. I was a little stressed because he wouldn't take milk in a sippy only water(this kid drinks water like it is soda he loves it!). So by the end of the day I was totally stressing the night time routine. I had convinced myself that he wouldn't sleep a wink and I would cave and give him a bottle. So as he was finishing dinner, my dad walked in the living room drumstick in hand. Cash spotted him across the way and immediately was pointing and screaming for his drumstick. Let me back up the night before Bret had a drumstick and let Cash have a couple of bites, that was baby boys first encounter with the goodness that is a drumstick. So we know the kid has a memory and knew he wanted a piece of yummyness. My dad sits down to give Cash a bite and it happens, the kid takes the entire drumstick start to finish eats the whole thing.
Notice in these pics (the first encounter with the drumstick) Cash is actually sharing.

The second time around there was no taking it away from this kiddo

Or else you would get this look - Priceless!

So that was it after his milk intake he was off to bed and slept like a champ and the next day was taking milk out of his sippy and officially off the bottle! This kid has made it way to easy for me! I stressed for nothing....now the binky....I have a feeling he won't be as easy with me on that one!

Family Fun

So my parents moved in with us the week of Thanksgiving and how thankful I am to have them around! Bret and I are beginning to become very spoiled by there obsessive cleaning and laundry doing (I seriously have chore fairies running around behind me and CASH picking things up it is AMAZING!) and also having built in babysitters is the best. Life is good!

Cash loves hanging out with his Uncle Teddy. He has actually attempted his name..te te te te or maybe he was telling me he wanted to go tete :) ha! Teddy is very good with playing and watching cash while he is napping so I can go do some quick errands. Thanks also to teddy for washing my car for me on a regular basis...what a great bro!

Mimi and Cash get along great. Mimi is always trying new things with cash that I don't think about. She has even conditioned him to wear hats...he loves them now! There is nothing better than getting to see your parents adore your child as much as you do!

Cash and the girls! I have never seen a child be so flirtatious before! Well then again I guess I haven't had much experience! Cash just lights up when he sees a girl especially his cousins. He practically attacks little baby Avery everytime he gets near her with kisses!

PawPaw and Bret. So bret just might kill me for this! Chelsea was over cutting our hair and convinced Bret to let her straighten his hair to try a different cutting technique on his locks. I have never seen Bret with hair like this so I had to take a pic. He and my Dad looked so cute but I was definitely glad to get my babe's curls back!

Cash chillin in his very own recliner. Mimi and PawPaw bought this for him for his birthday(I know a post is coming promise!). He loves to sit in his chair and rock and read books. It has definitely been a hit.

Stay tuned...Cash bday, christmas, and everything I haven't been posting for 3 months!!HAHA!

Happy Birthday PawPaw

So this is way late. My dad had his birthday last month and I promised that I would make a list much like my mom's. For anyone that doesn't know my parents, these things have to be FAIR!

48 Reasons I love my Dad

1. He absolutely adores my sweet baby boy

2. If I ever have a problem he will fix it

3. He is OCD clean freak and it is hillariuos

4. I am so much like him it is SCARY! Just ask my husband! Well not in the cleaning area!

5. He has always supported me in any decision I have ever made in my life

6. He thinks of me as the perfect child, which I am far from, but it is still nice!

7. He is the best maker of spagheti ever!

8. He lives, breathes, and bleeds Coke products. Anyone who has been around him knows if there is ever a aquafina in my fridge or 7up he will give me grief for a week

9. The way Cash absolutely goes crazy when he sees my Dad. He loves his PawPaw so much

10. My dad's dancing. Again you only know what I am talking about it you have witnessed it. HILLARIOUS!

11. He is always the life of the party. No matter where we are in a social setting he is right in the middle of everything.

12. He never meets a stranger, he will talk and make a friend with anyone. Proof positive he gets along great with my borther in law Brian! HAHA! That was a joke Tiff! Brian knows he is his favorite!

13. He is always so willing to help and serve others

14. Anytime he sees a missionary out and about he makes an effort to talk to them and tell them all about what ward he goes to and how he is on a 5 year plan! Too cute!

15. I absolutley love how whenever he gets around Bret's parents he thinks it is confessional and talks to them about the things he can be doing better at. He did grow up Catholic so I guess that's where it comes from. But it is too funny!

16. He reminds me to be nice when I need it! He can always put me in my place!

17. He introduced me to horror flicks at a young age (much to my mothers dismay) and I have had a love for them ever since.

18. He is a movie buff. Many a Tuesdays were spent a blockbuster getting the new releases. We laughed at him because the blockbuster employees knew his name and he had a designated parking spot!

19. He always was there to pick me up from school before I had my own car. I always loved leaving school and getting to see my Daddy

20. Nachos and Phase 10, many a days were spent eating nachos and playing phase 10 growing up because I always beat my dad and he would never give it up! Maybe he was letting me win...I never thought about that!

21. My birthday month: He always gave me whatever I wanted and still does because it was my birthday month...in my old age bret is trying to ween me down to a birthday week!

22. Cheerleading Competitions. Need I say more! He was always there cheering me on even though I know it was a total beat down

23. He was with me all day at the hospital when I was being induced with Cash and came back at 3am because I had a csection and waited with me and bret until we could go see cash. He didn't want to miss a second of that and I was so glad to have him near.

24. He was so sad he couldn't be in the delivery room. I had to remind him that mom didn't get to walk me down the aisle to which he said well I better get to be in there next time!

25. How much he loves my husband. They are such great buddies and they both crack me up on a daily basis

26. He is the best roomate ever! I love my parents and Teddy living with us!

27. Cash looks just like him fair skin and green eyes, He is so proud!

28. He only spanked me once growing up!

29. He must watch the evenng news and weather channel everyday!

30. He can tell you the complete 7 day weather forecast at any point in the week, he is awesome to have around when I am planning something outside!

31. Fishing. He would always take me fishing and it was awesome. I never had to put the bait on the line or touch a fish I just got to catch the fish he did all the hard stuff!

32. He was at the temple after I received my endowments and was so proud of me even though he didn't really understand what I had done, but he knew it was important to me and showed me how much he loved me by his support.

33. Still to this day anytime someone talks about cheerleading or something like it, my dad will say well my daughter was a National Champion in Cheerleading, which I think is hillarious because that was like 8 year ago!

34. Music. My dad taught me how to jam out at a young age. Anytime I listen to Tom Petty, AC/DC, Led Zepplin, or The Eagles I think of my dad

35. Road Trips, Never a dull moment on a Diemer road trip.

36. Captain Obvious. A nickname he has earned in recent months for his overly obvious statements during sporting events. Another thing to make us laugh

37. I love how if he makes you mad he immediately tries to do something funny to get you in a good mood to make up for his previous mishap. One of my mom's favorites too!

38. How everytime someone new meets my dad they say WOW! He doesn't look like he is old enough to be your dad and if they feel really comfortable with me they will say and He is so good looking! I have been hearing this since I was in school all my friends thought my dad was cute, so I am used to it!

39. I love how he calls me on a regular basis to request more pics of Cash so he can change his computer screen at work.

40. How much he adores my mother. It is so awesome to have parents who love each other so much. I am so lucky!

41. When he was about to walk me down the aisle he turns to me to say, "So, you are going to Spain!" This is so my dad! He made me crack up which eased my nerves.

42. How he gets burnt so easily and he always looked so out of place surrounded by three brown mexicans.

43. He taped my ears back at the hospital after I was born because he thought they sticked out too much!

44. He can make my infamous monkey face too!

45. He has my sweet tooth so anytime we are together it is going to be bad!

46. He loves everything I cook even when it is bad

47. He needs to see vacume lines, so everyone must leave the house after he vacumes and if they do walk on the carpet they can only wear socks and walk very lightly!

48. He is my Daddy!

Keeping Up with Cash

No lie I have been trying to post this for 2 months! Blogger finally decided to upload my video. My little man is growing up so fast. Cash is always so wild, the only time I can keep him still and read and practice his baby skills is when he eats. So this day we were practicing what a cow says
