Smile

Thank you Ambyr for sending me some pictures that she took of Mia when she was just a new little one in the world!

It made me smile because she has grown and changed so much over the last 3.5 months! She is now talking when I talk which is hillarious...just like a girl. I will be holding her telling my mom and intriguing story and being all animated as I usually am when I talk (at least to my mom) when we look down to see Mia all smiles and laughs trying to blurt out things in her loud voice and sometimes she even gets out some shrills and squeeks. It's nothing like your little girl to make you realize you may need to tone your girl talk down! She also for some reason thinks that I have a funny singing voice. It never fails when I sing to her while I'm rocking her to sleep she giggles not for just one song a multitude of songs. It is so amazing how much different and yet the same your kids can be. Sometimes I look at her and think, wow, you look just like your brother and then one second later she is doing something sassy that my sweet little boy wouldn't have dreamed of doing! The best part, the one that brings sheer joy into my heart and brightens my soul, is when Mia and I are sitting together practicing her skills (she has so many HA) and she hears or sees her Daddy and brother playing and laughing....she gets the biggest grin on her face and just stares at them all wide eyed. I just know she can't wait to jump in and play and wrestle with the boys! Then Daddy will come over and love on those most kissable cheeks our baby girl has and Cash hops (literally the baby bop hop) on the couch and asks to hold Sissy and he will hug her and kiss her on the cheek and be off again to play and run crazy. Life can't get much better! We are so blessed to have such healthy happy kids. Thank you Heavenly Father, we will be forever grateful for the precious spirits you have entrusted to us. May we always strive to help them along the path that leads them back to you.

First Day of PrePrePreSchool

Cash started preschool (Mommy's Day out) last week at Southmont. He was so excited to go to school with his backpack and lunch it was too cute. Then the drive to school started. I was explaining to him that I was going to drop him off and that me and sissy would be back to pick him up when school was over, just like Nursery. Maybe I shouldn't have dropped the "N" word because right then I asked, "Is that okay?" to which he replied clear as day NO. Now for Cash this is a statement because he only says Yes. He has occasionally nodded his head No when he didn't want to do something but usually when he means no he just won't respond yes to the question, so never has he expressed his disdain for something so clearly...at that point I knew I was in trouble! But he did great at least that is what the teachers told me. He is so proud of the work that he does and gets along great with his other classmates. I have really enjoyed the time to spend just with Mia especially when we run errands and grocery shop...it's heaven just with a baby in a car seat :) I am so proud of my little man! Here is to a great school year!

Mia's Blessing

Mia was blessed by her grandpa Vaughn at the first of August. He gave her such a beautiful sweet blessing and I am so greatful for him and the priesthood that he holds. It was a wonderful family affair. My parents, brother, grandma and all of bret's family were there to help celebrate this wonderful day. Aunt Danielle took this awesome picture of my precious little girl, too cute!
This is me realizing that it is going to be impossible to get a good FAMILY photo! HAHA!

The Diemer Crew

The Andrus Men + Baby Girl

Cash wanting to play in the dirt and throw rocks the entire time we were taking pictures, I hope this explains the nonsmile in the first picture!

The last 2 months

So what have I been up to the last two months...well certaintly not Blogging!!! Here are some pics of the kiddos over the past couple of months. Mia sleeps a lot and luckily she is okay with occassionally being put down in some unconventional places (due to her brother doing something that needs my attention immediately).
Yes, this is a sink and she isn't taking a bath!
The laundry basket seemed actually pretty comfy with all those warm towels
Cash, Cash, Cash where do I begin...he is doing so much! Everyday is a new adventure and I wake up excited about the new thing he will say or do, life doesn't get much better!
This is the look that we get when we tell him NO or he gets upset about something...he purses those darling little lips out just like his Daddy did when he was a boy, who know that could be genetic?
I had to include this because everytime I see this picture I think of that movie The Royal Tennebaums, so if you didn't see it you wont laugh but that's okay I won't be able to tell :)

Sweet Baby Girl

She's here! Mia Carmen Andrus was born June 17th at 1:20pm. She weighed 7.12 and is 19 inches long. She is such a good little girl! She just sleeps, eats and occasionally opens her eyes to check out the scenery. Cash is having so much fun loving on his baby sister. Life is wonderful and we are so glad to have Miss Mia home with us!

Curls

Never did I really think that my wish would come true. The whole time I was pregnant with Cash I would say I hope that my baby boy looks just like his handsome Daddy and have his great curly hair and big blue eyes. Well, I was saying that half thinking there was no way I was going to have a white kid with blonde hair and blue eyes because I am brown! But sure enough I got a look a like the only difference is he has hazel green eyes like his Pawpaw. But I am so glad my wish came true! I love Cash's curls and everything else about him!

Happy, Happy Days!

One small step for my brother and Grandma and one huge step for my eternal family! Thanks to many prayers and missionary efforts on behave of a lot of people two of my most loved family members have joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! Words can't express the happiness that I felt on both days.

As you all know my family moved in with us and oh how heavenly father knows exactly what we need and when we need it! Things have just managed to work out and our family has grown so much closer as a result and it has been so much fun having FHE every week with the whole crew, except my mom keeps telling me she thought FHE was about playing games not always having a spirtual lesson...so I have to work on that!! HAHA! So my parents are still holding out but their days are numbered!

My mom wanted a picture of the future priesthood holders of our family, seriously her words!

It has been quite an experience talking with both my brother and grandmother about gospel principles and doctrines. It is about the neatest thing to hear these people you have grown up loving no matter what talking about how much they wished everyone could know what they now know and how much they want to share this glad message to everyone they know and love! There has come a whole new spiritual connectedness I never knew that I could experience so soon! I love this gospel so much and I am a firm believer that Heavenly Father hears our prayers and feels the deepest and truest desires of our hearts and that if we are only patient and believe in his timeframe and keep the faith all will work out according to his will.

I am so greatful each and every day for my husband for giving me the most precious gift that anyone can ever give, the gospel of Jesus Christ. Now I am proud to say I am not the only member in my family! And I know that my parents will one day join the group too and I can't wait to be able to be sealed to my family for time and all eternity! Count your many blessings...

Move over Tiger

Check out the future of golf!

Next Easter, I get to add dresses and bows to into the mix! YEAH!

Seriously, a Speedo?

Thanks to my awesome friends, the Passey's whom are living in Belgium for 3 years Cash got an awesome Speedo for Christmas to sport this summer! It has been hanging out in his dresser for 5 months and I have been counting down the days until I could get his cute little booty in those tiny little speedos! Well the day finally arrived and and boy was my little man sporting those short shorts! Now all I need to do is get Beth to send me some for Bret to match Cash! How cute would that be!

Memorial Day

I have so much to catch up on, but I figured might as well start with the latest and work backwards! Man, has it really been three months since my last post...what a slacker!!!

We had a ton of fun at a friends crawfish boil for memorial weekend. There was swimming, a bounce house, swing set and yummy food. Cash could have stayed in the pool the whole time he had so much fun playing with Daddy.

Then on Memorial day we all went to a putt putt place in Lewisville and had a blast! Cash loves to golf and has a pretty good swing for a 17 month old! Then Daddy got to take Cash on a ride in the go carts which Cash loved. Then of course the games we had such a fun time and Cash was definitely worn out. With all the tickets we won from the arcade Cash got his first ring pop which he loved, a candy binky who could want anything more!

Maybe she'll be brown :)

Mia Carmen Andrus

Sweet baby girl will be gracing us with her prescence on June 16th. We are so excited to have a little girl to dress up and for Cash to love on. Bret is very excited and has been told by everyone to hold onto his wallet, so he is already prepared for what is to come...lots of shopping!!! Baby Girl is doing great and I hardly realize I'm pregnant except that she is a wild thing always moving and kicking. Cash occassionally kisses my belly...I don't think he quite gets that there is a baby in there more like wow mommy's belly is sticking out more than normal, let's kiss it! Just like little Cash this name was an easy pick, we are definitley hoping this kiddo will look more like the 1/4 mexican she is unlike her brother who is white boy through and through. If anyone has some girlie girl classes they would like to put on for me that would be greatly appreciated since I don't even know how to braid hair!!!

A Man of Many Hats

So, have I mentioned my mother has conditioned Cash to wear hats and love them???? He cracks me up! He will be walking around the house and grab the cowboy hat(which was apart of the white elephant gift that Bret picked at Karen's party, which wont be returning next year!) that we keep on his horsee and he will put it on and walk around the house so happy to have his hat on. Tiffany you'll have to show Brian these pictures because Bret wanted me to make sure Uncle PC saw Cash was a Cowboy in training....maybe that means this summer we can get both Bret and Cash on a real live horsee!!!

Every time we go Bye Bye or outside he knows he has to put his hat and shoes on, he will bring me his hat to tell me he's ready periodically throughout the day. When do they understand it is cold and not fun to go outside...he hasn't got that concept yet!
