I love my MiMi

Hands down I have the best mom ever...okay I know that is a little biased, but she is so wonderful not only to me but to her grandson. I wanted to share because I truly do appreciate her and my dad and all the time they want to spend with Cash. So my mom's birthday was on April 4th. This happened to land on a Friday....so lucky! Everyone wants their birthday to land on a Friday. So she calls me early that week and asks what me and Bret have planned for Friday. I ask, "you mean what do we have planned for YOUR Birthday?" She responds with no I mean are ya'll going on a date night? To this I say, "Are you crazy it is your birthday you aren't going to babysit!" This is the end of that conversation because I thought surely it was just a kind gesture and now she realized it was her birthday and she would take advantage. So skip forward to Friday afternoon, I get a phone call from Mom, "I'm on my way, can you get Cash's stuff ready for him to spend the night?" To this I say, "No mom it is your birthday." And her response is, "All I want for my birthday is Cash, I just want to cuddle and love on him he makes me so happy!" What could I say to that????? Mom has taken Cash probably every Friday since he has been on formula to spend the night at her and Papa's house so that Bret and I can have alone time. We count our blessings often and are so grateful for all they do for us! Mom and Dad we love you!

Blake the Snake and Cash

My heart just melts watching Cash with his cousins, especially Blake. For some reason Blake just loves taking care of Cash. Everytime he is around he is always asking either Bret or I if he can hold Cash for us or feed him or even change his diaper. Even cuter is when him and Payton are together and then they play house with Cash. Payton is the bossy mom and Blake is the dad that doesn't quite listen!!! Here are some pictures from the other day when Blake was over....these pictures aren't posed I promise! He is so sweet to my baby boy I can't wait until they can play together!

When we walked into the room, Blake was cuddling Cash so cute when he fed him. How can you not love this kid?!?!?!?!

Bret happened to walk in during Blake's feeding time and wanted to tell him how much he loved him, another cute moment caught by the camera!

Blessing

Cash's blessing happened over a month ago, but finally here are the pictures. My father in law, Vaughn, blessed Cash at church on March 30th. It was so beautiful, he did a great job! A lot of my family and friends came to support us and Cash and I was very greatful for that. We had a big gathering for dinner afterward and had lots of fun doing the usual Sunday rituals...yes there was a game of Choo Choo!!! So here are the pics...enjoy!
Cash sleeping...he was wore out from his big debut at church.

Daddy and Cash bundled up in the pretty white blanket Great Grandma Eloise made him for his blessing. Cash is saying Horay! I am now officially on the church records!

MiMi and Cash cuddling...he sure does love his Mimi!

Cash and Aunt Betty enjoying some together time!

Last but certainly not least Cash and girlfriend Emerson. This is our friends, Alex and Amanda's daugher Emerson, she is 7 weeks older than Cash and they love holding hands...how cute, is it too early to pick out a daughter in law???

They change so fast

I took some pics of Cash before I left on our ski trip and now that I am finally getting around to posting them his face has filled out so much in a month!!! Here are the fun pics...trying to figure out my camera still, but I like how in some of the pics his eyes look blue...although he is probably going to have some eye damage from the constant flash!!!

Mom just hurry up and change my diaper!
Wow mom you really know how to make me look even more white than I already am!
Okay I am playing with my tongue because I am so bored
When I get excited I like to make my eyes really big!!!

I just realized how gay it is to type as if your 4 month old is talking but thats what moms do, right!!!

Crested Butte

So about a month ago Bret and I went with our good friends Alex and Amanda on a vaca away from the kiddos for some great skiing and snowboarding. Here are some pics of the trip. Of course no action shots as I was too scared to ruin my camera, since I spent a lot of time playing in the snow with my snowboard!!! So we have some great footage of our karokee night but I have to learn how to edit the songs together for a montage...so if anyone has some tips let me know.

Alex and Amanda
Oh how cute.....

Dowtown Crested Butte...loved this town it was so picture perfect it looked like a movie set the buildings were so cute. It snowed so much while we were there it was awesome.
I am by no means a photographer, but I loved the way the flash reflected off the snowflakes.
I thought this sign was pretty funny.

Some very random people walking the streets

The mountain. It was so pretty and we had so much fun. We hope to make this a family tradition. There were so many kids skiing and I couldn't help but picture little Cash having fun.

Family Vacation

Okay so I am about two weeks later than my sister in laws to post about the fun time we had on our family vacation to Austin. Thanks Ann and Vaughn for always thinking of fun ways we can spend time together as a family. I seriously went through withdraws when we got home because it was awesome to have all the sister in laws and cousins around day and night and early morning...yes that was something Bret and I had to get used to kids wake up early....Cash isn't quite there yet!!
So here are some pics of fun times we had on our trip. Thanks to Danielle for sending me the pics...me being a first time mom I only took pics of Cash the entire trip....I will get more practiced I'm sure.

Cash getting excited to see Shamu!
Cash worn out from his day at sea world, gotta love the baby borjn!
Daddy and Cash watching some March Madness, this is probably going to be what the rest of his life will look like...those Andrus boys always watching sports!
What a doll...this was a total flirt moment with Aunt Danielle.
Bret showing off for the neices and nephews. I forget which one of us was a cheerleader?
Uncle Bert and Kali enjoying a ride in the river

Ann had a photographer come to take family pictures and this is us waiting for him to get set up.
Of course when the photographer was ready Cash was in the middle of eating so I am sure there will be some funny family pictures because the boy screams when you take his food away!

We LOVE Dr. Wilson

Here is Cash with the best OBGYN in the world...Dr. Wilson! I had to brag about my doctor...he is so awesome...and Bret loves him too. They had so much fun the day of the delivery talking about their IPhones it was so cute. I have a video that Bret took of the c section surgery that I will post once Bret is done editing it so everyone can see the great work Dr. Marky Mark Wilson does....or if that is too much for you, just take my word! We are so very blessed to have him as our doctor! Thanks Wilson!
